The Windows 10 Creators Update is now live

Image
After much beta testing and new feature additions, Microsoft's Windows 10 Creators Update is finally rolling out today. You can read more about all the new stuff in our preview, but if you want to get it as soon as possible, you have two options. You can either wait for it to hit your machine, which could take months, or use the Update Assistant and get it now. Just beware that with the latter option, you'll want to pay rapt attention to the privacy screen -- otherwise it will reset your carefully chosen settings to the default ones. Speaking of updates, Windows 10 Creators Update arrives with the new Unified Update Platform, which features differential downloads that reduce update sizes and give you more flexibility about when you can install them. That should help stop updates from taking forever and wrecking your day if they arrive in the middle of a critical presentation, for instance. Microsoft's work, things could go wrong. As such, it's best to update all...

Does time and space continue if you fall into a black hole?

Image
One of the biggest problems when studying black holes is that the laws of physics as we know them cease to apply in their deepest regions. Large quantities of matter and energy concentrate in an infinitely small space, the gravitational singularity, where space-time curves towards infinity and all matter is destroyed. Or is it? Forget XAML !! Neon is Coming

Image
This is Project NEON, the upcoming incremental upgrade for Windows 10’s design Project NEON will heavily focus on animations, simplicity, and consistency – essentially bringing back Windows 7’s Aero Glass and mixing it up with animations like the ones from the Windows Phone 8/7 era. Project NEON also focuses a lot on 3D and HoloLens interactions. As shown in the above concept, hovering over a navigation item or element shows a backdrop to make it feel like a natural interaction. On a PC, the background color will follow your mouse’s pointer – but on a HoloLens, it’ll presumably follow your gaze or HoloLens’ clicker. ANIMATIONS ON NEON ARE STUPENDOUSLY SMOOTH I have seen a few other video concepts of Project NEON which show off some of the animations in the UI – and to put it simply, these animations are stupendously smooth. Then again, these are just concepts and the “real deal” will likely be a lot different, for better or worse. If you look closely it looks like Mi...

Cause I'm not thinking straight... My head spinning around I can't see clear no more... What are you waiting for?

Image
A mobile-first, cloud-first IDE. Made for the Mac. Microsoft announced that Visual Studio will be available for the Mac for the first time. Visual Studio is Microsoft’s integrated development environment, and for Mac users the most obvious comparison is Apple’s Xcode. Visual Studio for Mac is a place to make apps for the web, iOS, Android, and wearables using the C# programming language. For the most part, the Mac version of Visual Studio seems to have the bulk of features from its Windows counterpart, though it’s still in preview, so some of that will likely change as it plods along to the full release.  Increase productivity Do it all in one place, with visual designers, Intellisense code completion, intelligent refactoring, and a universal search across files, types, members, commands, and NuGets. Customize your apps Integrate with third party resources such as Git, Subversion, or hundreds of thousands of NuGet packages. Get Preview: Click Here
