Top 5 Japanese Anime (Cartoons)

Japanese anime or "manga" come in a wide array of themes and genres. No matter the genre, I've always enjoyed its intricate storytelling and limitless creativity. Many highly acclaimed titles are filled with action and are among the most popular of all anime. 

Following ratings are in my view. Comment us if you have a different idea.

 #5 クレヨンしんちゃん (くれよんしんちゃん)  –  Crayon Shin-chan



Where Sazae-san and Chibi Maruko-chan center around the 大家族 (だいかぞく), Crayon Shin-chan features a more modern 核家族 (かくかぞく), or nuclear family. The main character is Shinnosuke, a frank kindergartner with a mischievous streak. He can’t resist the urge to pull down his pants and wiggle his butt, and he loves to point out his mom and dad’s fallacies.


Maybe that’s why Crayon Shin-chan has repeatedly earned the distinction as the show Japanese parents feel least comfortable letting their kids watch. But while Shinnosuke’s manners may not be the best, and he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, he’s got a heart of gold and every episode of Crayon Shin-chan usually has a message it wants to send somewhere among all the butt-wiggling.

#4 デジモンアドベンチャー Digimon Adventure



When a group of kids heads out for summer camp, they don't expect it to snow in the middle of July. Out of nowhere, the kids receive strange devices which transport them to a very different world to begin their Digimon Adventure! Led by the plucky Taichi Yagami, the seven children must now survive in a realm far from home, filled with monsters and devoid of other humans.

Luckily, they're not alone: each child is paired off with a companion digital monster called a Digimon. Together, the children and their new friends must overcome their insecurities, discover their inner strengths, and evolve into stronger fighters - literally.

A force of evil is spreading through the Digital World, corrupting all the Digimon. The DigiDestined have arrived and it’s up to them to save the Digital World if they ever want to see their homeworld again.

#3 ポケットモンスター Pokémon Adventures



After he turns 10 years old, Ash Ketchum (Satoshi in Japan), is allowed to start his journey in the world of Pokémon and dreams of becoming a Pokémon master. On the day he is to receive his first Pokémon, Ash wakes in a panic, having overslept. Professor Oak, the local Pokémon researcher, has already given away the three Pokémon (Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle) he entrusts to new Pokémon Trainers when Ash finally reaches Oak's Lab. The only Pokémon that he has left is a Pikachu, that he gives to Ash. Determined to make it on his journey, Ash does his best to befriend Pikachu, but it does not trust him and will not even return to its PokéBall, even attacking Ash with its unique electric powers. It is only after Ash protects Pikachu from a group of angry Spearow that Pikachu realizes how much Ash cares, leading it to save Ash. Afterwards, they both see a mysterious and unidentifiable Pokémon that spurs both of them to work towards Ash's goal.

Personally, i prefer Digimon which is more powerful then pokemon.

#2 ドラゴンボールZ ゼット - Dragon Ball Z



Raditz, Goku's brother has traveled to Earth to find out why Goku has not yet destroyed the planet as he was supposed to do. But while as a baby, Goku was dropped (down a huge cliff) and forgot his real mission. Kakarot, Goku's real name battles his brother Raditzs along with former enemy Piccolo and friend Krillin. Meanwhile, Gohan; Goku's son reveals his hidden powers against Raditz and nearly kills Raditz. However Goku is killed in the end, but Raditz is eventually defeated by Piccolo. Before he dies, he tells them that two evil Saiyans even more powerful then he is, are on route to Earth. The remaining fighters, Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu begin their training to battle the evil Saiyans, while Piccolo takes off with Gohan to train him in using his new found power. Meanwhile, Goku has to make his way back on Snake Way to King Kai's where he trains himself in the secret.

#1 ドラえもん - Doraemon



Nobita Nobi is a young boy who suffers from poor grades, frequent bullying and negative emotions like sadness, jealousy, etc. Many years in the future, one of his descendants sends the robotic cat Doraemon back in time to protect and guide Nobita. Doraemon has a pocket from which he produces items known as "gadgets", which range from toys and medicine to technology from the future. Examples include the "Bamboo-Copter" ("Take-Koputa" in Japanese), a small piece of headgear that allows flight and the "Anywhere Door" ("Doko Demo Doa" in Japanese), a door that opens up to any place the user wishes.

Nobita's closest friend is Shizuka Minamoto, who also serves as his romantic interest. Nobita is usually tormented by the bullying Takeshi Goda (nicknamed "Gian"), and the cunning and arrogant Suneo Honekawa. A typical story consists of Doraemon using one of his gadgets in order to assist Nobita in various ways, often causing more trouble than he was trying to solve.

Conclusion:
These series stimulates my nostalgic memories. 
There are many anime series which are the best plot and characters. The above rating purely depends on my view and the descriptions are taken from various articles. hope you feel relax.
